A new type of hardware platform was introduced for TelORB in project TSP 3 (released in September 2001).
The new hardware platform is called GEM (Generic Ericsson Magazine).
This hardware platform is also used for other Ericsson products.
The idea is to have one generic magazine which can be used for a number of different products.
For TelORB, the "old" hardware platform, Carmencita, can still be used in TSP 3.
